Description

This holiday home lies within the territory of the EL MOLAR nature reserve, in the village of La Marina, only 25 km from Alicante Airport on the Spanish Costa Blanca (the White Coast). La Marina Village is just 3 km from your house. You will find there numerous little shops, a supermarket, bars, restaurants, a disco and a shop with Internet/fax facilities. The shops are open 7 days a week. Most of them are Spanish-customer oriented. There is however a more touristy part of the village where you will find larger supermarkets. That part of La Marina is about 4 km from your house. The sea and beach are truly amazing! In addition, there is a public swimming pool in La Marina which is open in the summer season. In the winter you are welcome to use the indoor swimming pool of the La Marina international campgrounds. Both swimming pools charge an entrance fee. As the village and beach are at some distance from the house, we recommend a (rental) car.

Local area

Costa Blanca, �the White Coast�, lies on the Spanish East coast and is famous for its benevolent sun and cool sea breeze. The distance from Amsterdam to La Marina is app. 2200 km. You can take a flight to the airports of Alicante (25 km.), Murcia (60 km) or Valencia (200 km). The neighborhood is ideal for relaxing walks among a natural unspoilt environment. The house location, amidst nature, means that there can be mosquitoes during the twilight and early morning hours, especially when humidity is high. We recommend using mosquito protection. The beach of La Marina is long and narrow. Chaise-lounges and parasols are available for rent. A lifeguard is present and a restaurant is available. This area is app. 3 km from the house. There is also a different part of the beach, at a distance of 4 km, used solely for nude recreation. Golfers will find sufficient facilities at their disposal in Rojales (20 km), Alicante (20 km), Quesada (25 km) and Torrevieja (35 km). The cheerful towns of Santa Pola and Guardamar lie within a distance of 6 km. Both places have a weekly market, a picturesque village square and plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. Alicante Airport is situated 25 km from the house.
