In the town of Gran Alacant (8 km from Alicante Airport) on the Spanish Costa Blanca (= white coast) lies the pedestrianized complex of Costa Hispania, where this attractive accommodation is located. There are no less than 4 swimming pools in the complex, which are open (with supervision) from 1st May until 15th September. Additional facilities include two tennis courts and a football field. At the main swimming pool there is a building where eating and drinking is possible. Ideal location for families with children, or for people who would like to enjoy a quiet holiday but nevertheless want to undertake a variety of tourist activities. The accommodation is a mere 1000m from the beach, with a gently sloping sea bottom. This bungalow has a tiled patio with comfortable furnishings. Part of a four-under-one-roof construction, each accommodation has a private parking space.

Local area

On the Spanish east coast lies the Costa Blanca, the 'White Coast', with its healthy sunshine and cool sea breeze. The distance from London to Alicante (by car) is 1888 km (including 1660 via motorway). From London to Alicante by air takes just 2.5 hours. A visit to the city of Alicante (8 km) is highly recommended. Pass the day in this town shopping or visiting museums and monuments. Of course don't miss out on the town of Santa Pola with its salt lakes, also at a distance of 8 km. This idyllic fishing port was once an important Roman harbor. The fort, which dates from the 1600s, now houses the archeological museum and an aquarium. Take the ferry from the coast of Santa Pola to the small island of Tabarca. Only 40 inhabitants live here and almost everything is prohibited: putting up tents, water-skiing, etc. Yet the island attracts hundreds of visitors daily. The city wall surrounding the village has three towers. Several narrow streets lead up to the church square. The most peculiar house is the stadtholder's residence, which houses the island's only hotel. A real must for both young and old is a visit to the aqua park in neighboring Torrevieja (30 km). Here you will find huge slides and several swimming pools. You can enjoy horseback riding with Dutch instructors (beach rides or take lessons) or visit the Rojales golf course (10 km). Summers last long in this area (from the end of April until mid-October) while winters do not get colder than ca. 12 C, so you can visit the Costa Blanca all year round!
