DescriptionThis is a cozy and fully furnished 3rd floor apartment on the Mediterranean. From the living room you have a magnificent view of the sea, which is about 50 meters away. Torrelamata is 5 km from the center of Torrevieja. This area consists of various new settlements which make up the coastal area of the north side of Torrevieja, which is about 5-7 km in length. Here, on the coast, there are many forms of entertainment such as restaurants, bars and nightclubs. There are also plenty of supermarkets in the vicinity. There are some small sandy beaches at Miramar / Cabo Cervera, and the famous, wide sandy beach of La Mata is within walking distance. The apartment is spacious and is accessed by a wide staircaseor a lift.

Local areaNext to the apartment complex there is a hiking trail which runs along the rocky beach. The trail has steps to a sunbathing area and a place from where you can fish. At the front there is a sandy beach and at the rear there is a beautiful protected sandy beach which is situated in a small bay and is equipped with all the facilities. There are many small and large beaches in this area. Approx. 1800 meters from the accommodation you can rent a pedal boat, and the Aqua Polis, an outdoor water amusement park, is about 190 meters away. In the vicinity there is also a diving school. Torrevieja (Valencian: Torre Vella, the old tower) is a seaside resort located on the Mediterranean and lies about 40 km from Alicante. This area is known for its beautiful beaches and natural salt lakes- the largest in Europe. Other attractions in Torrevieja include the Church of the Immaculate Conception (Arciprestal Iglesia de la Inmaculada Concepcion) and the historical casino. The church was built in neoclassic style, in the form of a Latin cross, with a bow vault and a simple portal with two bell towers. In the interior there are statues of the Holy Maid, who is the patron saint of the city, and Christ. The casino, in the Cultural Community (Sociedad Cultural Casino), was built in 1882. The Moorish hall- the main salon- is strikingly beautiful and is famous because of the works of major authors. From the terrace, which is very beautifully incorporated into the front of the building, there is a beautiful view of the river port. In Alicante there are various castles, such as the Santa Barbara Castle (which sits high above the town), and the Castle of San Fernando (built to protect the city against the armies of Napoleon). Today (2003) the castle is used as a theme park. |
