Local areaIf it is a nice day you can take a trip to the island Tabarca. From Santa Pola you can take a boat to the island. The island is only 1800 meters long and has a maximum width of just 400 meters. There is a small village here whose defensive walls are still intact. The nature on the island is lush. Around the island you have the opportunity for diving and snorkeling. Alicante is the capital of the province: It is a beach resort with an international airport, situated in the heart of the Costa Blanca. The city of Alicante has a diverse industry, busy port, vibrant nightlife, excellent cuisine, sparkling white sandy beaches, a beautiful sea and lots of cultural historic architecture - in short, an interesting city that has a lot to offer. On the Costa Blanca you will find cities such as Benidorm, Murcia and Valencia which are certainly worth a visit. You will also find many cafes where you can enjoy delicious seafood, paella and sangria. In terms of sport, the Costa Blanca also has much to offer. For example, there are many hiking and cycling routes which wind their way past the most beautiful spots in the area. A variety of water sports are possible including water-skiing, diving, para-sailing and banana-riding. Nature lovers can visit the Cabo de Gata national park or the Palm in Elche. In Torrevieja there is a large water park where both young and old can spend a fun-filled day. In short, the Costa Blanca is an ideal holiday destination for everyone! |
